Purpose
This policy explains how Briljante Boeke processes personal information when a parent places a school-specific Grade 1 to Grade 7 workbook order. It applies to the private school order link and related administration, not only to general website browsing.
Information collected
To process an order, Briljante Boeke collects the parent or guardian’s name, email address and mobile number; each learner’s name, surname and selected grade; the relevant school and academic ordering period; the order reference, amount and payment status. Card and bank details are processed by PayFast on its payment platform and are not collected or stored by this ordering facility.
How information is used
- to create and administer the order and payment record;
- to prepare the paid-learner allocation list for the relevant school;
- to organise printing, fulfilment and bulk delivery to that school;
- to communicate about the order, payment or delivery; and
- to meet record-keeping, fraud-prevention and legal obligations.
Who receives information
Information is available only to Briljante Boeke personnel and service providers who need it to run the ordering service, including secure hosting, email and PayFast payment processing. The relevant school receives the paid learner and grade information needed to distribute the books. Briljante Boeke does not sell personal information.
The PayFast checkout receives the parent’s name, email address, mobile number, order reference, total and a general description of the order. Child names and grades are not sent in the payment request. PayFast processes payment information under its privacy notice. Hosting and database services support the website and restricted staff records; access is limited according to operational roles.
Website enquiries and browser storage
Contact and quotation forms open a draft in your email application; the message is sent only when you send it. The quotation list is saved in this browser. During an order, a temporary order-access token is kept in the browser session so that the payment status can be retrieved privately. Staff login uses a necessary session cookie. This website does not add advertising pixels or optional analytics trackers. Hosting and security providers may keep technical access and security logs.
Children’s information
The system requests only the learner details needed for school allocation: name, surname and grade. A parent or guardian submitting an order confirms that they are authorised to provide those details.
Security and retention
Access to administration records is restricted, the ordering site uses encrypted web connections, and payment confirmation is verified server-to-server. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably needed for the order, school delivery, financial records, support and applicable legal obligations.
Your rights and contact
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to or correction of your personal information, raise an objection, or ask about retention by emailing info@briljanteboeke.co.za. This policy is intended to support processing in accordance with POPIA.

Hierdie beleid verduidelik hoe Briljante Boeke persoonlike inligting verwerk wanneer ’n ouer ’n skoolspesifieke werkboekbestelling vir Graad 1 tot Graad 7 plaas. Dit geld vir die privaat skoolbestelskakel en verwante administrasie, en nie slegs algemene webwerfgebruik nie.
Inligting wat versamel word

Kaart- en bankbesonderhede word deur PayFast op hul betaalplatform verwerk en word nie deur hierdie bestelstelsel versamel of gestoor nie.
Hoe inligting gebruik word
- om die bestelling en betalingsrekord te skep en administreer;
- om die betaalde-leerder-toekenningslys vir die betrokke skool voor te berei;
- om drukwerk, uitvoering en grootmaat-aflewering aan daardie skool te organiseer;
- om oor die bestelling, betaling of aflewering te kommunikeer; en
- om rekordhouding, bedrogvoorkoming en wetlike verpligtinge na te kom.
Wie die inligting ontvang
Inligting is slegs beskikbaar aan Briljante Boeke-personeel en diensverskaffers wat dit benodig om die bestelfunksie te bedryf, insluitend veilige hosting, e-pos en PayFast-betalingsverwerking. Die betrokke skool ontvang die betaalde leerder- en graadinligting wat nodig is om die boeke uit te deel. Briljante Boeke verkoop nie persoonlike inligting nie.
Die PayFast-betaalblad ontvang die ouer se naam, e-posadres, selfoonnommer, bestelverwysing, totaal en ’n algemene beskrywing van die bestelling. Kinders se name en grade word nie in die betalingsversoek gestuur nie. PayFast verwerk betalingsinligting volgens sy privaatheidskennisgewing. Hosting- en databasisdienste ondersteun die webwerf en beperkte personeelrekords; toegang word volgens bedryfsrolle beperk.
Webwerfnavrae en blaaierberging
Kontak- en kwotasievorms maak ’n konsep in jou e-posprogram oop; die boodskap word eers gestuur wanneer jy dit stuur. Die kwotasielys word in hierdie blaaier gestoor. Tydens ’n bestelling word ’n tydelike toegangsteken in die blaaiersessie bewaar om die betalingstatus privaat te kan opvraag. Personeelaanmelding gebruik ’n noodsaaklike sessiekoekie. Hierdie webwerf voeg nie advertensiepiksels of opsionele ontledingsnasporing by nie. Hosting- en sekuriteitsverskaffers kan tegniese toegangs- en sekuriteitslogboeke bewaar.
Leerderinligting
Die stelsel vra slegs die leerderbesonderhede wat vir skooltoekenning nodig is: naam, van en graad. ’n Ouer of voog wat ’n bestelling indien, bevestig dat hulle gemagtig is om hierdie besonderhede te verskaf.
Sekuriteit, bewaring en jou regte
Administratiewe toegang is beperk, die bestelsite gebruik geënkripteerde webverbindings en betaling word stelsel-tot-stelsel geverifieer. Inligting word net behou solank dit redelikerwys nodig is vir die bestelling, skoolaflewering, finansiële rekords, ondersteuning en toepaslike wetlike verpligtinge.
